For over 10 years, Joyce has lived in various countries as a relief worker. However, in 1999, she found her passion…children. Through her rescue work experience, she has developed programs for HIV/AIDS awareness, community development, vocational training, medical relief, and other projects that she finds necessary in impoverished areas of the world. Her vision in life is to give voice and hope to those who do not have it which is what the Hughes Foundation is founded on…hope.

After graduating with a Professional Writing degree, Jennifer wanted to use her skills to help others. After being introduced to the Hughes Foundation, she found that a compassion towards those suffering with HIV/AIDS started to grow in her heart. The need for HIV awareness is what really solidified her commitment to the organization. Currently, Jennifer is working as a publicist and is looking forward to helping the Hughes Foundation reach more people through communications.

Maria Feiock
Director of Finance

Maria comes to the Hughes Foundation with extensive experience in Non-Profit accounting. Previously, she helped engineer accounting processes with Tasks Unlimited, a Minneapolis-based non profit that works with serious and persistent mental illness. Currently, she is a staff accountant but remains intrinsically passionate about helping people. She finds herself moved by how the Hughes Foundation is able to change lives and is excited about how tangible these changes are. We are grateful for Maria’s experience and with her help, the Hughes Foundation can be financially structured for years to come.
